Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately, or discard. Stovetop: Preheat saute pan on medium-high heat. Add sausage to pan and cook 4-6 minutes, turning often, until browned. Add 1 cup water to the pan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low and cover. Cook 15-20 minutes and until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F. Keep refrigerated. Never frozen.
