White Rice Conventional Method: 1-1/2 cups of water; 1 cup of rice; salt and oil to taste. 1. Bring water to a boil. 2. Add ingredients and bring them to a boil again. 3. Cover and cook in low heat. 4. After 15 minutes turn off and leave covered for 5 more minutes. The rice should not be uncovered during preparation time. The amount of water may vary depending on the taste of the person. White Rice Microwave: 1-1/4 cups of water; 1 cup of rice; salt and oil to taste. 1. Put ingredients in a 2 quart pan for microwaves. 2. Cook on high for 5 minutes. 3. Next, cook on medium heat for 10 minutes. 4. Let it rest covered for 5 minutes. The rice should not be uncovered during preparation time.
